Like butter!

When this knife was recommended to me, I was told that I would only ever need two knives in my kitchen: a paring knife and the Santoku knife. I went from having a designated knife for different foods (you know, the case of knives) to having just two knives--three if you count my Cake Server Knife! The Santoku knife can cut into butternut squash--into a pumpkin!-- as if they were made of butter. I was able to cut into the rind of a watermelon with unbelievable ease. You realize quickly that you've not purchased an item for its brand--you've purchased it for its quality. The phrase "quality over quantity" rings true here. I was able to part with that case of knives with confidence!
